Application Procedure
Applications for GSI positions in the Department of Anthropology are available from the Graduate Student Services Associate, Room 101 West Hall, between 8AM-4:00PM, Monday-Friday. Late applications will be given low priority consideration. Selection criteria include departmental admission obligations, merit, experience, other training or experience which may be required and explicit to the teaching goals/requirements of a specific course, applicant's previous receipt of financial aid, availability of funding, and relevance to graduate training. The Department of Anthropology Fellowships Committee will make selections based upon the above criteria. Selection decisions will be complete approximately one month after the application due date. Specific course preference should be made at the time of application. All students having teaching as a condition of their current fellowship MUST complete the application process. Unsuccessful applications will be retained for consideration in the event that there are last minute openings.

Applicants enrolled in departments or programs other than the one in which the instruction would occur should attach a) a resume, b) a UofM academic transcript, c) course evaluations from any courses taught, and d) a letter of recommendation from the faculty director of the program of enrollment.
