Application Procedure

SNRE students are notified via e-mail when the postings are available.  One form and two sets of attachments are required for each course.  The attachments should include a cover letter describing the applicant's qualifications relevant to the specific course, resume, transcript, and anything else the applcant wishes to include.

The faculty instructors rank the applicants and the associate dean makes the final decisions.

Typical Duration of Postings

2-3 weeks for the regular cycle.  5 days for special postings

Posting Period for Each Term

• Fall Dates: early-mid February
• Winter Dates: late Sep to mid-Oct
• Spring/Summer Dates: NA

Additional Information

First time GSIs are required to participate in various training activities.  Some positions require CPR/First Aid certification.
