Application Procedure
SNRE students are notified via e-mail when the postings are available. The entire process is electronic.
Students must complete the on-line application form and indicate which positions they are applying for. Students are then instructed to upload a separate cover letter for each position (describing the applicant's qualifications relevant to the specific course), their resume, and UM transcript. Students also have the option to upload supplemental documents, such as non-UM transcripts, recommendation letters, teaching evaluations, etc.
The faculty instructors rank the applicants and the associate dean makes the final decisions.

2-3 weeks for the regular cycle. 5 days for special postings

Additional Information
First-time GSIs are required to participate in various training activities. Some positions require CPR/First Aid certification.
