CAMPS OFFERED IN SUMMER 2009
UMHS Child Care Center will once again offer two programs — our Summer Camp and our Theater Arts Camp. Changes to the programs this year are:
- Theater Arts Camp will enroll 20 campers, ages 7 - 14 only. We do not yet know the location that we will hold the camp, so we are planning for a small group.
- Families will not be able to drop sessions of Summer Camp once camp begins on June 15.
REGISTRATION FOR ALL PROGRAMS
All registration forms are available on our website and that is the primary way for families to obtain forms. You will need to print out the forms, complete them, and bring them ALL in at registration time.
If you do not have a way to print the forms, feel free to call or email us and we will mail them to you.
- Families currently enrolled at UMHS Child Care Center may bring in their registration paperwork at any time. We strongly suggest that you turn in forms before April 1st to ensure enrollment.
- Open registration for all UMHS families begins on Wednesday, April 1st. All registration forms will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Register at the Child Care Center anytime after the 1st, 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
- For each childs registration to be considered complete, they will need:
- registration form;
- parent agreement;
- child information record (emergency card);
- permission slip;
- all registration fees ($335) made payable to UMHS Child Care Center.
IMPORTANT PROGRAM INFORMATION
- Campers will need to bring non-perishable lunches each day. Each Wednesday, our Summer Camp groups will have a pizza lunch, supplied by the Child Care Center. Our programs are nut and egg aware — please DO NOT pack these items in your childs lunch. A list of lunch and snack ideas is available on our website.
- If your child has severe food allergies, they MUST have an Allergy Action Plan completed and signed by a physician. This form is available on our Center website. Please turn this form in by May 31 so that all counselors can be notified of the allergies. They must also bring an Epi-pen with them on their first day of camp.
- If your camper has an IEP during the school year that includes summertime goals, the counselors are happy to support these goals at camp. Feel free to meet with the Center Social Worker (who is also a camp counselor) to discuss these goals.
SUMMER CAMP

Please note that Camp will be closed on Frid ay, September 4! No camp is available that day. The camp enrollment is full day, full time for each week.
Time spent at the Child Care Center will incorporate discovery activities, reading, crafts, and games. Groups will venture out on field trips each morning, and most afternoons will be spent poolside.
