Announcements about the 2010 Candace J. Johnson Staff Award for Excellence will be made in late summer 2010.

The University of Michigan Office of the Provost established the Candace J. Johnson Staff Award for Excellence in 2004 as a memorial to an exemplary staff member. Candy Johnson was dedicated, compassionate and committed. Her special blend of professionalism and personality made work a little easier, and even better, for everyone.

The Office of the Provost wishes to recognize those staff members who, like Candy, are a positive influence in the workplace. If you know someone who truly makes a difference by combining enthusiasm with excellence, help us recognize his or her effort by making a nomination for the Candace J. Johnson Staff Award for Excellence.

Nominations are due no later than OCTOBER 8, 2009.

A $500 cash award and certificate will be presented annually in December by the Office of the Provost.

This award is made possible by gifts from Candy's friends and colleagues.
