eMploy – Process Discussion

SETTING CANDIDATE DISPOSITIONS ON A JOB REQUISITION

Does this topic have a familiar ring?  Perhaps your Employment Process Coordinator has been nicely nagging you to complete this sometimes forgotten step in the process, or maybe you read about them in a previous newsletter.  At any rate, setting dispositions on your candidates serve two important purposes.  The first is to assist you – the hiring department – in organizing your candidates into qualified and not qualified categories.  And the second is to assist the institution with EEOC and other reporting and auditing requirements.  A good rule of thumb is that every candidate that is seriously considered should have a disposition code other than “pending”. The following chart is included to give detailed descriptions of the current disposition selections and an idea of how and when they should be used.  If you have specific questions, please contact your Employment Process Coordinator for assistance.  For detailed information on how to set the codes in eMploy, open the eMploy documentation guide and print the print the step by step Assigning Status (Disposition) and Correspondance to Candidates.
