Specialized employment services include maintaining the applicant management process, providing dual career services for certain positions, and information on outside consultants for specialized activities such as outplacement and executive search support.
In addition, the Office of Recruiting and Employment Services:
- Manages the Reduction-In-Force (RIF) processes governed by the University's Standard Practice Guide and applicable collective bargaining agreements
- Administers leaves of absence for the positions within the career classification system and for staff represented by various bargaining units
- Coordinates and represents the University of Michigan at job fairs and career conferences, and participates in a variety of college and high school recruiting activities
- Manages Temporary Staffing Services (TSS)
