Q. How much do LEO members teach?
A. LEO members teach about 31% of all student credit hours at the undergraduate level on the Ann Arbor campus. They teach about 33% of the lower-level undergraduate student credit hours (freshman- and sophomore-level courses) and about 28% of the upper-level undergraduate student credit hours. They teach approximately 13.6% of graduate-level student credit hours on the Ann Arbor campus, mostly in the professional schools.
At Dearborn, LEO members teach about 59% of lower-level undergraduate student credit hours, about 32% of upper-level undergraduate student credit hours, and about 20% of graduate-level student credit hours. At Flint, LEO members teach about 60% of lower-level undergraduate student credit hours, about 34% of upper-level undergraduate student credit hours, and 28% of graduate-level student credit hours.

Q. What proportion of LEO members work full-time in a LEO title?
A. Out of all LEO members on all three campuses, a total of 37% work at or close to full-time (that is, they hold a .90 or greater appointment). Another 23% of the LEO members are employed at half-time or greater, up to a .90 appointment. The other 40% of LEO members work at appointment levels that are less than half-time. Approximately 13.9% of the LEO members have another paid appointment in a non-LEO job title.

A. Current salaries for non-tenure-track instructors vary widely, depending upon the academic department, the instructor’s experience and credentials, and the circumstances of employment. Average full-time salaries for members of LEO are $48,337 for the Ann Arbor campus, $30,985 for the Dearborn campus and $31,891 for the Flint campus.
