There are literally dozens of ways
you can make the work you do at U-M easier on your
body. The Michigan Healthy Community Ergonomics
Awareness Program is here to help you learn how following
easy ergonomic principles can help you prevent aches,
pains and repetitive injuries.

with "Ergo Made Easy"
This section
offers tutorials designed specifically for the U-M community.
They can help you evaluate your own work area - whether
you work in an office, lab or a more physically-demanding
job. You'll find helpful tips on how to move, lift, and
adjust your work space to lessen stresses on your body
and help you stay comfortable and injury free. These
easy changes can have big results -- and with little
or no cost to you and your unit.
Latest Information to Help You Avoid Aches and Injuries
- Winners of the 2nd Annual Ergonomics Grants and Awards have been announced! Twelve deserving U-M units were awarded a total of $45,000 in grants and six units were recognized for implementing ergonomic solutions that reduced risk factors.
