For many of us, the winter season means office parties, planning holiday celebrations and preparing to welcome friends and family members into our homes. During this busy time of year, it can sometimes be a challenge to keep up a healthy lifestyle. MHealthy winter programs can help you navigate the hustle and bustle of the season and celebrate while maintaining your health goals.

Sign up for one or more of these free 30-minute online programs to help you stay on a healthy track while enjoying all the season has to offer. Get advice and tips on fitting in fitness, staying in control while enjoying events and parties, indulging without gaining weight, celebrating the season your way, and much more.

Nov. 14: Being Thankful – Kicking off the Season
Learn how to keep traditions while staying healthy, give and receive thanks & stay active with family and friends.

Learn how you will benefit from quitting for a day; how to overcome cravings; tips for success; how to continue your journey one day, one week, one month (and beyond!) at a time; & how to access free cessation services through U-M.
Nov. 21: Being Smart about Parties and Events
Learn how to make healthy party recipes, stay in control at events & plan healthier parties.
Nov. 28: Being Active into the New Year
Learn how to fit in fitness, stress less with exercise & celebrate through physical activity.
Dec. 5: Being Indulgent without Overdoing It
Learn how to indulge without weight gain, create delicious “mocktails” & enjoy the luxury of sleep.
Dec. 12: Being Generous this Season
Learn how to create healthy gifts to share with friends and family & perhaps treat yourself a healthy gift.
Dec. 19: Being Content this Season
Learn how to acknowledge the joys and pressures of the season, set reasonable expectations & give to others and yourself.
'TIS THE SEASON TO HANG ON TO REASON FINANCIAL SEMINARS
In this free seminar, Kathryn Greiner, U-M Credit Union budget counselor, will discuss what leads us to overspend and how to debt-proof our holidays. You will get ideas on ways to enjoy the holidays more while spending less, and how to get your family on board with these changes. Refreshments will be served.

MOVE, LOSE, MAINTAIN PROGRAM
Stay on track into the New Year by signing up for this eight-week healthy lifestyle program designed to help you get moving and eat healthier. The goal is to be active for at least 30 minutes a day, at least three days of the week. Get weekly emails, a booklet with recipes, healthy tips, and more. Register Oct. 29 – Nov. 16 at one of several weigh-in locations around campus. The program runs Nov. 19 – Jan. 14.

BUDGET! ARE YOU KIDDING?
Come to one of these free, in-person lunch and learn sessions to see where your money is going and make a plan for spending, bill paying, and saving. Also get tips on ways to enjoy the holidays more while spending less. Led by Kathryn Greiner, U-M Credit Union budget counselor. Lunch will be served.
