   Assignment of administrative personnel to the Retirees Association

   Representation of the Retirees Association on various committees, councils, etc., in the University at large
   

2. Benefits for Retirees - Retiree Association members:
   

   Medical, dental, optical, recreational, golf club, tennis club, Faculty Club, etc.
   How are these benefits provided?
   

3. Does the Retirees Association have a lobbyist; try to influence legislation?
   

   How are these functions performed?
   

4. Involvement of the Retirees in the University:
   

   Academic, Instruction; Chair and/or member of Master's, Ph.D. committees; advisory functions; tutoring, etc.
   

5. Programs conducted by/for the members of the Association:
   

   Travel, Concerts, Bridge, Lectures, Play Reading, Recreational, Fitness, etc.
   

6. Relationship of the Retirees Association with the University Alumni Association.
7. Scope and nature of the Retirees Association publications, such as newsletters, calendars, handbooks, directories, etc., were discussed, and available materials were exchanged.
8. R. Whitney led a discussion of the nature and scope of the Association Archives.
9. Founding dates for the following retirees/annuitants associations are:

   Illinois   1971
   Indiana   1975

   Minnesota   1977
   Michigan State   1979
   Ohio State   1983
   

10. Nine audio tapes recorded during the meeting are available at The Ohio State University Retirees Association office, 53 West 11th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43210.
11. Following this conference, Richard McDowell, Purdue University, conducted a study of the Big Ten retirees associations, which summarizes many of the items discussed. A copy is attached.
12. A Retirees Conference golf championship was held, at which C.G. Hixson reigned as Supreme Grand Champion, Defender of the Links, and Chairman of the Rules Committee.
