Scheduling a Caregiver
Upon registration, you will be given the call-in number for the agency/contracted provider of services, Safe at Home. Note: if you are already registered, and are experiencing problems with that phone number or connection, please e-mail us at email@example.com.
Please call to schedule a caregiver as soon as you are sure that you will need one.
- The Safe at Home office is open during business hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., for calls to request caregivers.
- From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., a pager service is available, and a scheduler will call you back to discuss your needs.
- From 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., we recommend that you call and leave a voice mail message as soon as you know that you will need care. The agency will call you after 6 a.m.; if they do not, please call them again.
- There is a minimum service usage of 4 hours per day. Also, please note the Billing Procedures/Cancellation Policy.
The agency will seek a caregiver for you based on service eligibility/needs, and will call you back with an update or confirmation.
The process of scheduling care, from the time you speak to a scheduler to the time the caregiver arrives at your home, can take 4 hours or more. Also, if you leave a message after 9 p.m., your request will be responded to after 9 a.m., and it may take up to 4 hours for a caregiver to arrive.
