Culture Change

In June 2022, U-M enacted an official policy about digital accessibility. The policy covers digital formats such as websites, documents and software programs. We've created, Introduction to Digital Accessibility, a new course to help you understand the importance of digital accessibility at U-M and its impact on workplace culture, relationships and team dynamics.

We also welcome you to participate in our new DEI course, Disability Awareness and Inclusion. In this course, you'll learn how to recognize and appropriately respond to requests for reasonable accommodations. This course is open to any U-M faculty or staff member who wishes to contribute to a more inclusive and accessible environment.

Leaders play an important role in helping to prevent workplace issues and wrongdoing. Leadership and Culture: Strategies to Prevent Workplace Issues and Retaliation is a new course that gives leaders tools and strategies to create a more welcoming and respectful work environment. The next sessions are Wednesday, Jan. 31 and Tuesday, Feb. 6. Additional dates are available.
