Application Procedure

Good standing as a doctoral student (as defined in the economic department's "Rules and Regulations of the Econommics Doctoral Program") and satisfying all LS&A requirements for employment.  No GSI position will be awarded to an applicant not enrolled in the doctoral program in economics until all qualified doctoral students in economics have been hired.

Details about GSI positions that are available are posted at www.econ.lsa.umich.edu.  Any applicant who is not an economics doctoral student must submit a resume, a transcript of all economics coursework, and reference letters from both a faculty member you have taught with previously and your adviser in your current program at U-M.  These materials must be submitted as a hard-copy by the deadline posted on the Economics department web site to Mary Braun, 250 Lorch Hall.
