Application Procedure

Applications for History will be available online at www.lsa.umich.edu/history under Graduate Students and Forms.  You will also find hard copies will be available in the Graduate Lounge (1030 Tisch Hall). 

Selection criteria include admission obligations, merit, availability of funding.  The fellowships committee will make selections based upon the above criteria.  Selection decisions will be complete approximately one month after the application due date.  Specific course preference should be made at the time of application.  Unsuccessful applications will be retained for consideration in the event that there are last minute openings.

Duties include:  Heading a discussion session, Grading assignments and holding office hours.

Additional Information

Applicants not enrolled in the History Department should fill out the non-history application and include a resume, unofficial transcript, letter of recommendation from the director of the program you are enrolled. 

Desired qualifications:  previous GSI.
