Application Procedure

Application Procedure: Graduate students who are interested in applying for a position should contact the appropriate instructor. Sweetland Writing Center slots cannot be combined with other percentages unless that position already has a full tuition waiver. The GSI Application Form can be picked up in the Student Academic Affairs Office (1343 EH) and must be submitted to the Student Academic Affairs office by March 10th, 2008. GSI allocations will be based on the GEO pre-approved percentages. Tentative GSI assignments will be announced on April 1st, 2008. ALL FIRST-TIME GSIs are required to attend the CRLT (Center for Research on Learning and Teaching) Graduate Student Instructor Orientation (August 25th and 26th) as well as the Psychology New GSI Orientation (August). All GSIs who are teaching courses for the first time, which include a Sweetland Writing Center percentage, are required to attend training sessions scheduled by that program (September).
