Application Procedure
Any student wishing to be appointed as a Graduate Student Instructor (GSI) must apply by the deadline - even if an offer of support has been made.
You will need to:
- Fill out the official application form. Attached to the form, you will need to submit a resume, a UM academic transcript, course evaluations of any courses taught, and a letter of recommendation.
- Read through the announcement describing all GSI positions tentatively scheduled for the term that you are looking into applying for (these are also posted in the Department's Main Office).
- Read through the explanation of the College's "10-Term Rule," applicable to students who have received/are about to receive their tenth term of funding from the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts.
