Application Procedure

Any student wishing to be appointed as a Graduate Student Instructor (GSI) must apply by the deadline - even if an offer of support has been made.

You will need to:

1. Fill out the official application form.  Attached to the form, you will need to submit a resume, a UM academic transcript, course evaluations of any courses taught, and a letter of recommendation.
2. Read through the announcement describing all GSI positions tentatively scheduled for the term that you are looking into applying for (these are also posted in the Department's Main Office). 
3. Read through the explanation of the College's "10-Term Rule," applicable to students who have received/are about to receive their tenth term of funding from the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts.
