The third increase of the state of Michigan minimum wage increase went into effect July 1, 2008. For UM temporary employees on biweekly pay the effective start date was June 29, 2008.

Effective June 29, 2008, range maximums for Trades and Service/Maintenance temporary positions are being increased to approximate the current minimum job rate through salary grade 8.
