The third increase of the state of Michigan minimum wage increase went into effect July 1, 2008. For UM temporary employees on biweekly pay the effective start date was June 29, 2008.

The range maximums for temporary classifications were also increased by approximately 3% effective June 29, 2008. This adjustment is based upon the average increase for the past two years and is being implemented at this time to accommodate the shrinking of ranges due to the increases of the minimum wage.
