From now until May 1, 2009, any faculty or staff member at MI-HERC institutions (including the University of Michigan) can purchase 30- day job postings for $150 per posting. - Direct candidates to APPLY ON-LINE by including in the text of your posting the link to the http://www.UMjobs.org website and the posting number. Make sure to align the posting close date in eMploy with the posting close date on HigherEdJobs.com, so that candidates can apply for your posting when they click on the link. You'll need to include unit-specific application procedures for Faculty positions.
- Make sure to post positions to the correct JOB CATEGORY. There are over 170 faculty, administrative and executive categories to choose from. HigherEdJobs.com indicates that most job seekers search for jobs by job category, so it's important to post your positions in categories where candidates can expect to find them.
- Make sure to use descriptive JOB TITLES. For example, use "Assistant Professor of History" instead of "Assistant Professor." This will encourage job seekers to click on your posting to view the full description.
If you have any questions about the posting process, you can contact our Customer Service Representative for the account, Kevin Varner, at 814-861-3080 x204, or by email at kevinv@higheredjobs.com.
