Play On with Active U Autumn!

Walk, roll, run, play with the kids or stay active at a tailgate, it all counts. Just get moving to help your team reach the top of the leaderboard or to achieve your personal best. This six-week program is free and open to ALL at the university, as well as employee spouses/other qualified adults (OQA).

Participation is easy - Set your goal. Get active. Track your minutes online. Plus you could win $500!*

Active U Autumn includes many of your favorite features from our winter Active U program as well as a few new ones that can help you move more this fall and beyond!

  • Participate on a team, with your spouse/OQA, or as an individual
  • Track your physical activity minutes online or with your mobile device.
    • NEW – Participants are still encouraged to exercise at least 30 minutes per day, a minimum of three days per week. However, this year, to successfully complete each week, you must achieve your weekly physical activity goal.
  • Chance to win prizes and be entered into MHealthy’s Grand Prize Drawing to win one of six $500 American Express gift cards (benefits-eligible faculty and staff and enrolled spouses/OQAs only)

U-M STUDENTS

Join Active U Autumn – it's easy, fun and free!

Here's how:

  1. Sign up Sept. 9 - 30. You can join on your own or join a virtual team with your U-M friends, floor, house, classmates or department. Either way, you set your own goal and do activities at your convenience - no need to coordinate schedules, unless you’d prefer to work out with a friend or meet up with others.
  2. Participate Sept. 30 - Nov. 10. Walk, run, play a sport, do yoga or Pilates, lift weights, dance – whatever gets you moving, then log your activity minutes in our tracker via web or mobile device. (You'll get email or text message reminders too!)

Active U Autumn can help make activity a part of your routine and keep it up, which can help you manage stress and feel more energized!

Program features:

  • Participants are encouraged to exercise at least 30 minutes per day, a minimum of three days per week to achieve their weekly physical activity goal.

Ways to get active on campus:

  • Enjoy the crisp fall weather as you walk or bike across campus or in the Arb
  • Visit Recreation Buildings – students can go for free!
  • Join an Intramural Team
  • Take a MHealthy class
