‘Public Servant’ Fights Domestic Violence

Associate Director of Human Resources Strategy, Planning and Policy Kathleen Donohoe spent 20 years in United States Coast Guard before beginning her U-M career in 1999 as the director of the university’s Sexual Harassment Policy Office. In her current role she works on health, safety and policy-related committees and initiatives. One that is especially significant to her is the Abuse Hurts: Recognize, Respond and Refer program.

"Take Time to Get Healthy" Urges Wellness Coordinator Colleen Greene

Colleen Greene photoAs the Michigan Healthy Community (MHC) Wellness Coordinator, Colleen Greene not only makes sure other employees reap the benefits of a healthy lifestyle; she gives her own heart rate a boost at the same time. Greene runs physical activity programs such as Active U and Get in the Game, coordinates special fitness events, works as a personal trainer and leads relaxation and exercise classes that are open to all U-M Health System and University employees and to the general public.

Golf Facilities --The University has two golf courses:

  • The UM Golf Course, located at 500 E.  Stadium Blvd., telephone 615-4653, is an Alister MacKenzie design open to faculty and staff (and their spouses/partners) on a daily green-fees basis. Faculty and staff members must present their UM ID when registering.
  • Radrick Farms Golf Course, designed by Pete Dye, is located at 4875 Geddes Road, telephone 998-7040.  Faculty and staff are eligible for a season-pass or to play on a daily fee basis.)

These clubs are primarily for U-M students and are required to have at least 50 percent student membership; however, non-student members often can take part. Each club determines its own membership and pricing rules. For more information, contact the club via the Club Sports website.
